Ohh man, the time may come soon enough. Engadget reports that the vPod could be getting its finishing touches in Cupertino and that a pre-Christmas release is possible. That would be sweet.
The old news: Google bought YouTube for $1.65B. You can listen to the conference call with Eric Schmidt, Sergey, and many others here.
The new(er) news: The YouTube guys posted this video on their site:

Not sure that he will be correct after it is all said and done.

(0)Signs of life from AOL, which kind of released AIM Light, a stripped down version of AIM for all those at war with that Triton monstrosity.
Looks good after using it a little bit, but I still prefer the old version of AIM I’m currently running. (I think 5.9).
Some problems with LAIM:
- No custom away messages
- No adjustable preferences
